It’s currently a winter wonderland in Boston and although it’s beautiful, it’s still cold. I am a sun worshiper and constantly think about it, so I thought it would be appropriate to share the rest of my recent trip to Bermuda. If you didn’t get get a chance to check out part one of my trip, you can do that here. After visiting St. Georges, Jonathan and I headed out on our moped and spent some time in Hamilton, Bermuda’s city center. It’s full of great restaurants, shops and beautiful scenery. It’s set on a beautiful harbor, so I imagine that it get’s quite busy during the high-season when cruise ships are in town. I love exploring new places and just getting lost. We didn’t have a set plan when we got to Hamilton, so we walked around random streets and walked into some cute gift shops. My favorite was The Island Shop it had some great Bermuda inspired house-ware, postcards and cute Christmas ornaments. It’s a tradition of mine to pick-up a new ornament anytime I visit a new place and I found the perfect little red moped ornament for our tree when I was there. We also stopped by the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club to visit Marcus’ Restaurant, but unfortunately, there was a private party that evening so we weren’t able to try it. It looked like a great atmosphere and the music was blasting so we were bummed, but I will definitely make my way back there next time! We ended up eating at The Pickled Onion for dinner and it was really the perfect location because it had an outdoor balcony on the 2nd floor that overlooked the harbor and was set on Front Street, the main street in Hamilton. It was a great way to end the night with a glass of wine watching the sun go down.
The next day, we stopped by the Bermuda Botanical Gardens. Visiting during the low-season definitely had it’s perks because we basically were able to explore the grounds of the Botanical Gardens without anyone else there. It was really beautiful and peaceful and definitely worth a visit! I am SO obsessed with this white festival inspired off the shoulder dress. It was less than $60 and such a steal! Unfortunately, it is sold out, but I also love this option and it’s under $80! I am also really into the choker trend right now. This choker is currently 50% off and totally worth it! It goes with literally everything because it is so neutral. You can thank me later.
On our last night in Bermuda, I wore this BCBG dress to our Thanksgiving dinner. Since the dinner at our hotel was more formal, I wanted to have some fun with it. The bright Bermuda colors definitely were inspiring me. It was also the perfect dress because I didn’t have to worry about a waistband for my Thanksgiving meal (#key)! When you walk in it, you almost feel like your floating because it is so flowy. The dress is extremely flattering and it’s the perfect shade of pink. I paired it with these Steve Madden heels, which I have worn to many occasions because they are a great nude color. They are also surprisingly more comfortable than you would think. I generally can wear them all night without having to take them off, which rarely ever happens.
Do you guys have any warm weather trips planned to escape the cold? Let me know where so that I can live vicariously through you! My next one isnt until March so I will be day dreaming until then.
