I’m a small town girl from Bristol, Rhode Island that loves all things fashion, travel and beauty. I married my best friend and high school sweetheart, Jonathan, in August of 2015 and we are both the parents of an adorable, wrinkly, lazy and loving English Bulldog named Bubba. After graduating from the George Washington University in 2012, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do, but I knew what I loved, and that was fashion. I started my career working at J.Crew’s corporate office in Manhattan as a Merchandise Assistant, but quickly learned that the business side of fashion wasn’t exactly where my heart was. After a few years, I decided to move closer to home in Boston and began working in the biotech industry (I know, major change!). Since moving home, I have felt like I still needed a creative outlet and wanted to do something about it which is how this blog came to life. I’m excited to be able to share the things that I love the most and hopefully, you will find some inspiration and enjoyment out of it!
Gibson Road is the name of the street I grew up on in Bristol, Rhode Island and has become a significant part of my life for many reasons. I was fortunate enough to grow up four houses down from my grandmother. Her house on Gibson Road is still the place where I feel the most at home and she is the whole reason why I have a love for fashion. She has always represented elegance and class and even in her night robe, still manages to look like Audrey Hepburn (I’m not kidding). I mean, how many 80 year old women can wear a black jumpsuit and rock it? Not only is this blog a creative outlet for me to share my passions, but it will also take you on my life journey and since Gibson Road is where my life started, where I got engaged and where I go back to when I need to feel like myself, it only made sense to name the blog after such an important part of my life.
